PhD Student

Collincia (she/her) is a first-year PhD student in the Interdisciplinary Studies department. Influenced by her own experiences growing up as first-generation Caribbean in the United States, her work looks to explore Black cultural identity formation through the lens of American media. Her other research expertise includes intersectional feminism, pop culture, media studies, queer studies, and first-generation cultural identity. She has studied in the United States, England, and now Canada.
