Chinenye (she/her) is a second-year doctoral candidate at the Peter Allard School of Law. She has a Master of Laws degree from the University of Ibadan and the University of British Columbia. Her research interests focus on the effect of intellectual property (IP) on genomics, medical research, and human rights. Her current research adopts the critical IP perspective in analysing the impact of patents on medical research in Canada and Nigeria.
